Fear of trying | Fear of the unknown

Updated: Jan 2, 2023

Fear!

I sometimes fear doing something, doing something new, different things, and unknown things. Late did I discovered that I’ve been afraid of failure, trying, Making mistake because I would or might be rejected, trying because I think I will fail and it might not work out, so no! I don’t want to try.

I wonder how many of these fears keeps us down, how many of these fears are keeping you down.

For me I may fear doing it wrong and never the right way so even if the answer is sitting right in fort of me, I may not take action because I fear losing it and never being able to maintain it. How so bad is that! You may have an underlying fear that you may not even be aware of.

Example for me varies from very little things to the very big ones. Fearing the unknown. Not answering a phone call because I may be pointed out of my wrongs, not opening a mail send because I’m afraid of what the outcome will be!

The most irony thing is that, most times, or all the time it can’t be fearful as I imagine or sometimes it’s not fearful at all.

So how do I get from the place of fearfulness to the places of absolute Power?

As I walk and exercise this morning and I was listening to Tony Robins Tape of Person Power, he was talking about fear how it has and is stopping my dream, your dreams and our dreams – the fearful gang. As I walk and listen, the Holy Spirit reminded me of his scripture in a brand new way which I want to share in just a second.

I was pounding on in my mind about a prompt I received from the Holy Spirit to sow a thanksgiving offering, and for some unknown reason I got afraid of the thought that I’m going to be giving away my earnings for that entire month. So as I pray and asked God to help me act because I was honestly being afraid. So he reminded me of 1 Timothy 1:7 – For God did not give us the spirit of fear but instead, He has given us the spirit of Power!

As I received the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Power is the ability to act, take action, to do something. In other words, God has given me the ability to take action, to act, do it! So even we I fear, feel afraid I should do it – that which I want to do, I should do it anyways, even if my legs are shivering with fear of the unknown I should do it anyways because in doing so I overcome the very fear and also displaying the Kingdom of God and it’s Power.

So Even if I fear, I should do it anyways. If I fear opening the mail, I must open it anyways, if I fear starting I should start anyways, if I fear working out, I must work out anyways. In doing so I’m showing forth the kingdom of God which is in Power and not just in words of I want to do this and I want to do that.
